GUNS N' ROSES Keyboardist To Begin Work On Solo Album
May 14, 2004In an exclusive interview with Boston writer Debby Rao for Glam-Metal.com, GUNS N' ROSES keyboardist Dizzy Reed previewed his upcoming tour plans and new solo album. When asked about his tour with HOOKERS-N-BLOW, Dizzy said, "We will start in New York on Long Island, June 3 and then we head up to Boston to play the Hard Rock Cafe June 4, and then Jarrods June 5, and then the Webster Theater on June 6. Alex Grossi, Matt Starr from BEAUTIFUL CREATURES, Troy Patrick Farrell, and Curtis Longfellow are in the band HOOKERS-N-BLOW." When asked how he joined GUNS N' ROSES, Dizzy said, "In 1990 I came to play on the 'Use Your Illusion' album. THE WILD had a rehearsal studio in Hollywood and GNR moved in next store. It was kind of like a 24-hour live-in studio. Axl always said, 'We will eventually add a keyboard player and it will be you.' By that time they had become huge." When asked about his upcoming solo album, Dizzy said, "It will be something like you hear from our influences. It is going to be hard and heavy with a modern sound. I will be playing a little bit of everything." For the full interview, check out Glam-Metal.com.
